Does Jared Goff contract put Hendon Hooker in play for New York Giants?

The New York Giants appear to be set for the 2024 season at quarterback, with Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy DeVito (as well as newly-signed Nathan Rourke).

But are the Giants done? Joe Schoen has shown a willingness to use every avenue at his disposal to improve the Giants roster, including trading draft assets. Could the Giants make an off-the-radar move for a quarterback?

The Detroit Lions just signed quarterback Jared Goff to a massive four-year, $212 million contract ($170 million guaranteed). The length of the contract seemingly ties the Lions to Goff until 2028, which is two years past the the contract of 2022 third-round pick, quarterback Hendon Hooker.
